This photography assignment was to take photos using some of Scott Kelby’s photography tips.

Starbright sun effect: While in my photo you an clearly see the sun, it doesn’t quite burst into  many different long rays like it should have. However, I thought it was a cool effect to have the sun bursting through the trees.

Shooting in daylight: The overall goal is to keep the colors vibrant. Since it’s daylight I tend to think of the sun/sunlight. For this photo I took a shot where the sun was just barely shining through and hits just right that you can see the thousands of  gnats swarming around the park. Makes for a cool effect, although not so much when the thousands of tiny bugs get stuck in your hair, or eyes!
